Electric furling

Electric mandrel drive is made possible by a cooperation with Reckmann of Germany. The in-mandrel based electric furling device turn the mandrel for furling the main sail and control the mandrel turning backwards for hoisting in a way that keep the luff tight at all times. An normal powered winch or a captive winch is used to pull the main halyard when hoisting and ease when furling. As the electric furling is inside the mandrel it is almost invisible at first glance.
